How to upload products or custom product?

Overview

There are times when you want to add a product that is not available in the master catalogue. This is where the custom product comes in.

Following are a few steps to add your custom product and get it ready for purchase, for your customers.


Unizap App


1)Under the products tab, click on ‘Add product’. 


2)Fill in the product name, MRP and the selling price of the product. Add the product to an existing category (apple for instance) or create a custom category as per your requirement.


3) You can add a maximum of 5 product images in JPG, JPEG or PNG format with a maximum size of 2MB. 

4)You have the option to enable stock control, under the product section, to track the inventory of that particular product. (For instance, if you have 100units of chips packet and if a customer purchases 5 units, the stock will automatically be updated to the remaining 95 units).

  • Tap on Stock Control, and click on ‘Allow Backorder’ to enable receiving orders even after your inventory runs out. 


5)Set a minimum and a maximum quantity from the “Allowed quantity per order” section under stock control. This will prevent the user from redirecting to the cart if the minimum or maximum quantity is not abided by.  


6)Under the weight and charges section, set the Weight and Dimensions of the product.

7)In the Taxes and Packaging section under “weight and charges”, you can also choose amongst the options:
  • ‘Using your store’s tax and packaging charges’    or 

  • ‘Specify the tax and packaging charges for each particular product’.

                        This will give you the liberty to maintain your taxes and packaging charges.

- You have the option to enable or disable the ‘Availability’ option. It indicates whether the product being uploaded is available or not. 

-The ‘Add description’ section below ‘availability’ can be added to put a relevant product description for providing information about the product to the consumers.

-Under the ‘Categories’ tab, you can specify the parent, child and sub-child category under which you want your product to be displayed.


8) The ‘More Product Feature’ option, is a tab that helps you to add additional details to the products and make it more detailed.
  1. Go to Product Options. Specify the Color and the Size of the product if available to create a variant of that same product. You can also create a custom group based on your own requirements. Once you are done adding the details, click on save. 
  2. Click on Sync now and the change will be displayed on the storefront.
  1. Go to Add ons. You can add a group name to the group of add-ons. Then you add the individual add-ons, and you add the MRP and the selling price of the products. After adding, click on save.
  2. Go to Attributes. Add a brand name if required. You can select product keywords like Organic and Fresh, which will be displayed on top of the product in the storefront. 
  3. Go to SEO to edit the product title and change the meta description that will be displayed under the product when the product is viewed on Google.                                                                                                                           
                  
9)Click on the product name to open the Product Name & SKU section. 

Add the following details:

  1. Product name (Horlicks, for instance)
  2. Product Unit/Weight (5kg/ml etc, for instance)
  3. If your product has a unique identification code, you can add the  Product SKU that will help you keep track of your inventory. You can leave it unchanged if you do not track inventory via the stock keeping unit(SKU).
  4. The Barcode of the particular product
  5. You may give a position to your product, on the basis of which it will be displayed on your storefront. (Basmati rice is shown at the top, followed by arborio and black rice, for instance)
  6. Then click on ‘save’.
  7. Edit the SEO Description under the Product name and SKU section.
  8. Edit or add your own meta description and product title. A compelling meta description has has the power to raise the click-through rate of your organic search results. This means that people who see your page in the search results will actually click through and land on your site.
  9. A Product Level SEO Tab below the details shows how your product is displayed on Google to your customers.

Unizap Desktop


1)Go to Catalogue. Under Manage Products, click on the ‘Add Product’ option, in the top right side highlighted in blue.


2) Choose ‘Custom Product’ from the dropdown menu.


3)Fill in the following: 

       -Product name, 

        -Product unit, 

        -SKU(stock keeping unit), 

        -Position of the product, 

        -Barcode and

        -Description. 

        -the MRP, selling price, product 

         availability and stock control of the 

         products are visible on the right side. 


4)Under ‘Add Category’, add the product to an existing category(basmati rice, for instance) or by creating a custom category as per your requirement.
